Announcing a forthcoming Collection: India’s Climate Odyssey

We are delighted to announce plans for a PLOS Climate Collection on ‘India’s Climate Odyssey: Charting Paths to Resilience and Sustainability’. This Collection will be guest-edited by Anjal Prakash, Anamika Barua and Indu Murthy, all members of PLOS Climate‘s editorial board.

The Collection is being designed to serve as a comprehensive assessment of the complex challenges India faces due to climate change, and to highlight key research findings and policy implications. It will feature analysis of sectors including agriculture, water resources, and public health, as well as issues such as the intersection of climate and gender justice, Loss and Damage funding mechanisms, and the Sustainable Development Goals. Our aim is for the Collection to help guide stakeholders towards proactive measures to safeguard India’s environment and enhance climate resilience.

We have solicited a number of contributions from leading experts, but welcome proposals for additional articles for inclusion in the Collection (subject to editorial evaluation and peer review). If you would like to propose a contribution, please contact Executive Editor Jamie Males by 30th July 2024 with a brief outline and list of authors. The Collection is intended to consist primarily of Review articles, but we will also consider original Research Articles, Opinions, and Essays. For details of our article types, please see here.
