Announcing a new PLOS Climate Early Career Researcher Collection

PLOS Climate is dedicated to supporting Early Career Researchers (ECRs), and to making their vital research contributions more visible. We have already forged productive relationships with established ECR networks including the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) and the PAGES Early Career Network, and now we are creating a dedicated space within the journal to shine a light on ECR-led research. This new Collection will highlight research across the journal’s scope that has been spearheaded by ECRs, whom we are defining as current students or researchers who have been active in research for up to eight years since receiving their PhD.

We invite all ECR authors to identify themselves during the submission process by entering ‘ECR Collection’ in the Collections field of the submission form. We will use this information to select articles for inclusion in the Collection, which will appear in due course. There is no submission deadline- this will be a ‘living’ Collection, which will be updated on a regular basis to highlight contributions from our ECR community on an ongoing basis.
